How much does the shisha cost?
The shisha with «el Fakher» brand tobacco costs 20 Euros, and the premium brand «Starbuzz» costs 25 Euros.
These are tobaccos with guaranteed quality, and the shishas themselves are of high quality (Sahara Smoke brand, imported from the United States).
You can find cheaper shishas in Barcelona, but in many places the quality is not guaranteed, the smoke and flavor do not last long, and – especially when using artificial (quick-burn) charcoal – they must be smoked with great care.
How long does a shisha last, and can it be shared?
A smoke can last up to approximately 1.5 hours, and the team frequently renews the charcoal to ensure the best possible smoke. A shisha can be shared between several people, that’s the fun of it!

What type of charcoal do you use at Ziryab?
We use natural coconut charcoal, which is the least harmful to one’s health, and the smoothest type for smoking. It does not affect the flavor of the shisha and has no chemicals.
How old do I have to be to smoke shisha?
You must be 18 years old by law. If accompanied by a person aged 25 or older, we allow minors to enter the premises.
Is it true that those who work at the Ziryab bar are deaf?
Yes! It is true and part of the fun of smoking a shisha at Ziryab. You can practice your sign language or rather ask the waiters how to say «thank you» or «this is very good! or «I need more charcoal!» in their language.
As one of the owners of Ziryab is deaf, it is an important aspect for us to have deaf people on our team and ensure that we have a service suitable to serve deaf customers well too. This is also why we do not have a telephone number for our shisha and cocktail lounge.
Can I make a reservation?
You can! Just send us an email to info@ziryab.es.
For special occasions or big group bookings, you can reserve during the day (until 6:00 PM) and have the entire place to yourselves!
